Interim Community Development Director Transitions into Full-Time Position

Manhattan Beach, CA (April 7, 2017) – The City of Manhattan Beach would like to announce the transition of its Interim Community Development Director, Anne McIntosh, to the City’s full-time Community Development Director.

Anne started with the City in mid-January following the departure of the City’s previous Community Development Director, Marisa Lundstedt, to the City of Carlsbad. Anne has a Masters Degree in City Planning from UC Berkeley and has received certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).  Her extensive senior municipal management experience includes the position of Assistant City Manager in South Pasadena, as well as department head positions in Sierra Madre and West Hollywood. She also held an interim director role in the City of Beverly Hills. At the beginning of her career, she even spent time working in Manhattan Beach as a contract code enforcement officer. Among her community volunteer work, Anne has served as both a Historic Preservation Commissioner and Planning Commissioner in the City of Monrovia.

Her last three months with the City have illustrated her commitment to high levels of service and excellence, while demonstrating the depth of her knowledge and experience. She has guided the Community Development Department through this transition with calm, competent leadership, and the City is excited for her to join the team full-time.
